Lets take a trip down memory lane… picture the scene, you are at school, and granted it’s probably a bit bizarre to think about this now or maybe it’s a long time ago now, but do you remember when you just HAD to have the latest and best pair of trainers to wear on non-uniform day? Nothing else would do, nothing else really mattered and nothing else would make you look quite as cool at the school disco. It had to be the Nike Air Jordans, Reebok Pumps or even some massive FILA high tops – that in retrospect – I would quite like to rock right now. However I digress… life was simple in some ways because life was all about having the latest and greatest accessories to gain some playground respect.

I would like to think that perhaps kids these days have outgrown our childish and competitive fervour towards footwear and its meaningless hierarchy.
