Having recently returned from a convention in Berlin, I met a lot of new and like-minded people, interested in the same things as myself, eager to talk shop and happy to share good practice. This is fabulousness and why putting oneselves in these sometimes awkward social situations do always reap numerous benefits even if you may not realise it at the time.
Anyway, I digress, one of the things that kept cropping up repeatedly over the weekend in a strange coincidental fashion was the following question, “Have you read ‘The Now Habit’?” They were of course referring to ‘The Now Habit’ by Neil Fiore, a self help, motivational bible aimed at reducing procrastination, living and working in the now and as a result, having more time for fun and games.
I know everyone will be able to relate to that situation when you have a nagging job to do, its lingering in the back of your head but you just can’t seem to get round to doing it. This might sound familiar: I’ll do it later, I haven’t got the energy today or I need to set aside at least three days to do that and I just can’t find the window! The reality is, when we actually set ourselves down to start and we get on with it, its turns out, it really wasn’t that hard, it didn’t take that long and do you know what – you feel frigging marvelous for having sorted that task out.
For a lot of SMBs migrating their business, networks, data and email to the Cloud might seem like that kind of job. You know you ought to. You know it will help you. You know everyone else is doing it. BUT. I. JUST. CAN’T. FACE. IT.
Here’s a situation when “The Now Habit” really isn’t necessary because the reality of migrating your business to the Cloud is incredibly easy, straightforward and you will immediately reap the benefits.
Giacom will transfer your email accounts to hosted Exchange in the Cloud, maintain old accounts and create new accounts and all of which will sync across all your devices. For FTP, simply drag and drop to your new comfy, cloud based home. Giacom will even provide a premium migration service to make that transitional stage that little bit more manageable. So what are you waiting for? There’s no time like the present and the Cloud really is a ‘now habit’ you won’t break once you start.
